EFCChico COVID-19 Response
From Jim Postma, EFCC Council Chairman:
“The COVID-19 virus is now a challenge; while it may have started a world away, it now is a reality in our country and our state, and a threat to our community and our church. With the warnings and directives from our president, the governor, our denomination, and our community leaders, we have decided to modify our operations as a church.
The contagion and risks are increased greatly in groups, thus we have decided to halt all gatherings on our campus beginning March 14, until further notice. That is drastic, we know, but the risks of this disease can also be drastic, especially among our seniors – myself included. This decision is based on preparedness in protecting you, our church family, and not on fear. We need to continue to be The Church, but we know that The Church is not its buildings, its campuses and its programs. It is believers in Christ who worship Him, learn from His Word, and live out His teachings.”
