Women’s Ministry 2017-08-14T22:05:47+00:00

EFCC Women’s Ministries exists to extend the transforming presence of Jesus Christ to women in all life seasons. By providing Love, Instruction, Fellowship and Encouragement, we hope to influence this generation and the next to be women grounded in God’s Word, living out the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Are you looking for a place to meet new friends, fellowship with other women and grow in your relationship with Christ? We offer several Bible studies throughout the year that are designed specifically for women. We have daytime and evening options to work with your schedule.  Check the Upcoming Events for current studies.

The focus of this group is to help mothers of young children grow in their love and commitment to Christ through Bible study, discussion, prayer time, and fellowship with others who are running the same race.   This group meets at 10 am every other Monday in the Fellowship Hall.  Childcare is provided for a one-time charge of $5/child (max $10/family).  This class is FREE to attend!  Click HERE to sign up for the class and childcare if needed.    Contact Lindy Wilson with questions at  lindyswilson@gmail.com.

This group is very similar to the Mothers & Others group but targeted to the working moms.  There is practical as well as spiritual teaching and encouragement. This group meets on the second Sunday each month at 9:45 am.  There is no cost for this group.  Childcare is available.

This seasonal monthly event is for all ladies who would like an evening filled with food, fellowship, fun, and a film!   We will serve a light dinner, plus snacks.  We have a discussion time following the movie to reflect on the spiritual and relational aspects of the film.  Tickets are $5 for meal and movie (great deal, ladies!).  All films are G or PG rated and are hand-chosen for their spiritual/character-building qualities that encourage Christ-like characteristics (or warnings!).  Check the “Events” page for most current movie title and date.

This three-week course teaches women how to write their faith stories and gain confidence in sharing them. Everyone who has a relationship with Jesus Christ has a story to tell.  This workshop will take place a few times a year and is  FREE to attend.  Registration is requested, but you may also just show up at the door.  Check Upcoming Events below for specific workshop dates.

This is a nine-week biblically-based, life-changing DVD study for women of all ages and stages of life.  Join us as we learn to distinguish Biblical respect from being a doormat, discover how to stop negative thought patterns, enjoy life-changing truths, learn practical yet powerful ways to apply respect and reap the eternal rewards of doing marriage God’s way. Check “Upcoming Events” below for next scheduled class.

Each year EFCC host a Women’s Retreat at Woodleaf Camp in Challenge, CA, just a short drive from Chico.  We would love to have you join us for inspiring Bible teaching, heartfelt worship, wonderful fellowship, and an unforgettable weekend.  The Evangelical Free Church of Chico hosts this retreat but it is open to any woman, so invite your friends and family members to join us.  See Upcoming Events below for our next retreat information.

Held each quarter, this event is a time for women of ALL ages and stages of life to join together to worship, hear testimonies, and have a time of fellowship. See Upcoming Events below for the next Gathering.

Every spring, EFCC hosts the Hearts Being Healed conference.  This is a life-changing conference that presents testimonies of 13 inspirational women who have experienced God’s transforming power in their lives following a major life crisis.  Visit the website for more information, or to submit a speaker application.  www.heartsbeinghealed.com

“…let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25
